Used in a 32 gallon planted aquarium. There aren't many light color options to choose from. Most programs change smoothly from light to dark. Night vision mode is not ideal for a 24 inch flashlight. Might be better if used on a longer tank. During the day the lights seem to get warm and the speakers make an awful buzz when not in use. Now for the good parts. The setting works well on the 24 hour timer. The rise time is about an hour and the light grows all my plants. The thunder effect is also very cool. There is a wired sensor that plugs into the main remote and can easily be hidden to make the remote work. Ignore dull plants. I didn't realize that my new filter had plastic on the cartridge when it was installed.
