Works great with Win10 on Gateway DX4850

I have a full-size tower, but I really like that FS-U4 can be used in a mini PC tower. I don't use that as a power source; I have connected an active USB hard drive. It installed flawlessly in the case and was recognized by Windows 10 when it started up without any further help. The data transfer rate from USB 2.0 hard drive through motherboard connector to USB 3.0 hard drive is about 32MB/s (320MB/s). This is much faster than if the same USB 3.0 hard drive was plugged into a USB 2.0 port. It can write about 131MB/s from a SATA C: hard drive to a USB 3.0 hard drive. The only complaint I might have is that I wish it came with a "Y splitter" power cord. I have a 750w PSU but the power connections are limited.----------2019/03/20----------Too bad. Microsoft just updated me to Win 10 Version 10.0.18356 Build 18356 last week and it no longer works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the manufacturer and Microsoft drivers but I can no longer work. A USB xHCI compliant host controller will only show a small yellow triangle in Device Manager and the Reneasys driver will only persist until a reboot and will then be replaced by the xHCI driver. Very helpful explanation: This device will not start (code 10).
