The drain cock is cast but does not work. I recently purchased this radiator to replace the one in my 2002 Chevy S10 (V6). This appears to be an exact replacement EXCEPT the drain line (faucet) is molded into the bottom of the passenger side but is not drilled so you cannot use the old faucet on the new radiator. At first I thought it was a manufacturing defect, but found the AC Delco phone number (1-800-223-3526) and called them about it. They said they removed the faucet to save money because new radiators aren't going to be fitted to new cars either. In any case, this cooler worked great. Don't panic when it's time to pull the oil lines on either side. This is a "quick release" fitting. You remove the plastic cap from the fitting (slide it down the cord) and then you find a wire clamp that needs to be removed with a "hook" once the clamp comes out the cord pulls out. A few YouTube videos if you have a problem. Remove the four brass fittings and two rubber feet from the old radiator and install them on the new one
