Review on Ford 1957 1960 1962 Carburetor KIPA 1 Barrel for 144 170 200 223 6-Cyl 4-Cyl - Replaces 1904 Holley with Manual Choke by Tay Tran

Was a little nervous about purchasing this carburetor but was pleasantly surprised after installing it on a '57 Ford 223 with an automatic load balancer. Who's been in the woods for the last 20 years. The engine worked, but the original Holley 1904 was history. Bought as a replacement and started right away. I didn't have to swap out the carburetor bases for the stock power valve ones. Worked immediately. Took it for the first ride and was pretty springy with that new carb. The only issue I had was that the bottom of the air filter barely made contact with the throttle body. And the rather angular throttle body barely touched the inner flange of the air cleaner. A little skill with a hole punch and hammer quickly solved these problems. Generally very satisfied with the quality and the price. Would definitely buy again.
