Update: The seller contacted us and received a full refund for the product. I've adjusted my review here because I think good customer service is important, especially when they have a product that isn't working properly. After reading other reviews the problem seems to be that some sharpeners don't work consistently. It might be worth looking at their design as a whole to troubleshoot the issue. Old review: We've had this sharpener for 1 month now. Unfortunately we are not stable. Despite changing the battery (frequently), cleaning to make sure there's no clog and making sure everything is 'connected' the way it should be, it just doesn't work. I bought this based on the positive reviews so I'm not sure if mine is just bad or if it's common to everyone else. In the beginning it worked fine. But as I said, a month later this is not the case. It can turn on from time to time when I manually rotate the pencil to sharpen it, but most of the time it just doesn't work.
