Review on ๐Ÿž๏ธ Zoo Med Labs Nano Breeze Aluminum Screen Cage: Optimal Enclosure for Small Pets by Pamela Warfield

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for growing a small amount of monarchs

I wish this cage was two or three times larger and made of stainless steel instead of aluminum. The front door handle was also missing from the package but as I was in dire need of a cage I kept it myself. For the price it's not worth it in my opinion. Next year I'll be building something out of raw wood and stainless steel mesh that better suits my monarch's needs. This cage holds a very small 6 inch pot of milkweed. Luckily the spurge was growing like crazy in my garden so I planted some and brought them inside. I had huge LARGE 5 inch plants that monarchs would feed on until they reached the 5th stage. When they started crawling off these plants I put them in this smaller cage to hang the J. I put paper towels underneath so they wouldn't get damaged if they fell during the J-hanging process or into the doll. The only issue I had was the cage was small but it worked for my setup this year. This was my first time trying to raise Monarchs and I raised around 30-40. I didn't count exactly, it's been a hectic year!
