Review on Get Google Pixel 4a - Unlocked Android Smartphone with 128 GB Storage & 24 Hour Battery Life in Barely Blue Color by Eimei Suzuki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I like the product very much, fully consistent with my expectations.

While the Chinese continue to run into shovels (already more like small tablets than phones), only two decent compact smartphones with a screen less than 6 inches are available to buyers: these are the Iphone 12 mini and the Google Pixel 4a. And given that the first one stands like a cast-iron bridge (and not everyone is satisfied with apple products, frankly), then there are no options at all. I have been waiting for a long time for more or less affordable options for compact smartphones to appear. And I never regretted it when I moved to Pixel 4a with Mi 10 lite (it was good for everyone, but a diagonal of about 6.8 inches killed).

Pros
  • - Bright OLED screen. PWM is available, but it does not affect me in any way. Well, the diagonal for a compact smartphone is what the doctor ordered. Exactly 5.8 inches; -nfc; - Very good stuffing: 6/128 and 730 Snapdragon on board is a very good combination at the moment. Not the best, but quite decent for everyday use; - A chic camera on the IMX 363 sensor from Sony, which with one lens puts almost all "four-eyed" budget counterparts on the shoulder blades; - Pure, ated android, without pre-installed programs; - Fingerprint scanner on the back. Yes, it's a virtue for me. I really don't like under-screen scanners, they are painfully stupid. Here, the scanner, however, also lacks stars from the sky, but it is still faster than the under-screen options; - Google's approach to the first launch of the phone. You just connect the Pixel to the old tube with a wire and it transfers all the information to itself.
Cons
  • - Price policy. At the moment (03/30/21) the best option for buying a smart is a little more than 30k for a gray, American copy. Large stores generally push it for more than 40k, which is completely inhumane. But at a price of 25-27k - it would be a bomb no worse than the poco x3 promoted in every iron; - Autonomy. It still seems to me that it was possible to shove a 4000 mah battery into such a size. On the other hand, the declared battery is quite enough for more than a day, if the phone is not heavily loaded; - No microSD slot. And lately it has become a trend among all smartphone manufacturers, which is of course sad; - The phone is very picky about charging. Power Delivery fast charging standard, not the ubiquitous Quick Charge; - Few accessories. Cases/glasses are hard to find. This is the reverse side of the fact that the phone is not officially sold in the 2022.
