I was remodeling my bathroom and noticed that the hot and cold water faucets for the sink are no longer fully closed. I had to put a bucket underneath after removing the hoses. It was easy to fix. Using a small pipe cutter, cut off the old valve and insert one of these. That's all. You just need to be sure that after you cut off the old valve you have enough pipe sticking out of the wall to attach the new valve. These valves also come with a removal tool should you need to remove them for any reason.
