Review on 🚗 Uniden DFR8 Super Long Range Laser and Radar Detection with Advanced K/KA Band Filter, Voice Notifications, and Ultra-bright Multi-Colored OLED Display by Gage Lawson

I've been using the V1 for several years now but I'm tired of moving it between car and truck. At this price point, the DFR8 seemed like a good secondary option, and in some cases it offers better features than my aging V1. While I do miss the directional arrows of the V1, it's not a feature you can reasonably expect at this price point. What can reasonably be expected is that it will stick to the windshield for over 24 hours! The assembly is terrible and suckers. they suck well, they don't suck enough. Every time I get in a truck, everything collapses. V1 has never fallen out of the window, although the cups don't have to be the best by a long shot. Additionally, when the cups are pressed onto the windows, the mount is so weak that it flexes out under the setting. I feel like I need to buy a 3rd piece mount to make it work. Another issue I have is the dimming function which I have set to 'Auto' and so I expect it to be dimmed at night but it brings full brilliance. Maybe I just don't understand how to use it correctly? UPDATE: This mount is seriously pissing me off. When the weather gets cold, the suction cups get so hard they practically become solid plastic and can't be attached! A complete waste of time.
