Great doorbell, system and I love it. However, as much as I want to give the Coolgiya Doorbell a five star rating, there are just a few little things that aren't perfect with it. First I have to say that it works great. It's easy to set up and install and the range is excellent! We have one at the front door and one at the rear door. The receivers are in the kitchen/living room, upstairs, and one in our "steel" barn building where I have my office and that is about 70-80' away from the house. It is great to know that if I am in my office I can know when someone is at our front door as we live on two acres of land.We liked them so much that I recommend them to our elderly 87 and 90 year old neighbors since their wired door bell hasn't worked in years. They, like us, live on over an acre of land, and their house is approximately 800-900' from our house. After I installed their system I realized that we could use it for an emergency alarm system to possibly notify us if they had a problem. One of them walks with a cane and also uses a golf cart to get around and he is unstable on his feet and has fallen down several times. We left one button in the golf cart and one they carry around. Because of the distance between our houses we were not sure if it would work, but it has! Yesterday the great grand children where there and one pushed the doorbell on the golf cart and the police siren sound was clearly audible in our entire house. We just called before running over. We don't mind the false alarm as this assures us it is working. We don't rely on this as the only safety measure for them, but just a little extra.After all the great things about this system I hate to say anything negative, but these are just things that I think could make it better. First, it is noted as waterproof, and that is what I was also told by their customer service when I asked why their system was more than their competitors. It does have a rubber seal between the unit and the removable backing. However, there is a hole at the top of the unit that is for sticking in a small pin or screw driver to remove the backing to get to the battery. This is "not waterproof" and clearly would let water come in through this hole that is on the top of the button. It should have been placed on the bottom where water could not run in. Also, there are two holes in the back of the button for the mounting screws. Water could enter there unless you sealed the holes. Is it really worth five dollars more because it is waterproof? No! Second, it requires that you not only have to remove the cover from the backing to change the battery, but you must use a small screw driver, which is included, to actually remove the entire electronic board to get to and replace the battery. You had better handle this with care and not something someone with fumble fingers should do. Third, the clear plastic note holder is not very parctical! Someone that wants to leave a message would have to have a tiny, tiny, piece of note paper, and then have to pry of the plastic cover off to place the note in there. Again, not a practical or useful feature.However, even with those little quirks that may only bother me, I really like the doorbell as it is easy to set up, is very loud and audible, and has great distance of range.PSI did order a single doorbell button too for the setup for neighbor and it did not work. I contacted the seller and they immediately responded to my issue. They advised me to disregard returning it and they would send me a new unit. However, I had already sent it back through ebay and had ordered a new one. I did receive another message from the company later asking if my issue was resolved. They obviously have great customer service!
