Connect twice as fast for my Fire TV

I recently upgraded a Fire TV Stick 4K (B079QHML21) to a Fire TV Cube (B07KGVB6D6) to get Atmos sound on Netflix. The Cube comes with a network adapter (B074TC662N) but is limited to 100 Mbit/s. I prefer to use a wired connection to stream as the image quality is more consistent than over Wi-Fi. I have 500MP wired internet service, so this isn't a bottleneck, and I wanted to see if there was a way to get the maximum ethernet-over-USB speed (480Mbps). I have used many Cable Matters products and I trust this brand so I decided to give this product a try. My non-scientific tests before and after switching to this adapter using speed test apps (B081K21TZD and B01MST12IX) showed a significant improvement. I went from about 80 megabytes maximum with the Revain adapter to about 160 megabytes maximum with this adapter. My only complaint is the extra-long micro-USB cable, which goes the wrong way. I think it's better to have too much than too little, but I like the Revain adapter's short micro-USB cable, and the micro-USB port and ethernet port are on the same side. The Revain adapter looks a little better aesthetically, but I'm definitely glad I got double the speed with the Cable Matters adapter.

Pros
  • Fire Stick USB Adapter to connect video streaming devices like Fire TV (3rd Gen), Fire Stick 4K (2nd Gen), Fire TV Cube, Google Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, Chromecast Audio or Raspberry Pi Zero to USB Wall Charger and Router Ethernet Port
Cons
  • Some small things
