Very easy to install and very easy to move from side to side. You need to loosen the screws to adjust the height. However, for my use I just need some sort of lateral movement that handles it well. To be clear, it moves side-to-side on two hinges, one at the base and one to the right of the monitor, giving you the flexibility to move it in a horizontal arc and position the monitor left and right , so there is a lot of flexibility there. It also spins clockwise and counterclockwise fairly easily, which I don't use but seems very smooth. Took a few minutes to assemble, no template but I was able to mark the holes by lifting the unit up as it's fairly light. . Given how easy it was to adjust the arm, mounting the monitor to the bracket was a breeze, especially with the knurled holes at the top for the monitor's screws. A tiny level at the base makes it easy to level the bottom screw. It's not the best level, but you don't have to make it perfect because you can also easily adjust the screen rotation.
