I have given this gun 4 stars as so far it has been a good gun but it was more expensive than another that was missing a key feature. I bought this model PLUS another which I thought was smaller, with smaller nuts. When they both arrived, however, the guns themselves were nearly identical except for one key feature. While I like this one, time will tell how it holds up. BUT both appear to be made the same way and the parts are interchangeable. However, this one currently costs 24.00 more than the other. This is the other one I bought along with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073VK3B7S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which you use manually by turning it on on this one . This is time consuming, especially if you are working in a production environment and/or processing large volumes. The other model has a very intelligent system which is a thrust piston that turns the threads to wind the nut onto the shaft in a simple movement that takes less than a second! It's like old hand drills or even the wind on a fishing reel. If a more expensive one had such a feature, I would understand and pay for it. But in this case, the more expensive one has a simpler and less beneficial property. The other is the best value. Even the case in which they arrive is identical. A factory in China undoubtedly produces many products that are sold by different people. This factory comes with 1/2" dies. It also comes with more nuts (65 vs 35) and more nuts. But I can buy some nuts for 10-15.00 and have more. The other one has a matrix more and smaller dimensions than this. But this duty is no heavier than the other. It is identical in all parts, not just similar except for the piston function and hand carving here. And other threaded rods are a huge advantage if you make a lot of them .So if you don't need a 1/2 size, another might be more beneficial and work better.I have a better selection of stamps since I bought both. But I guess I'll use all the dice I need together with a different cannon pod I have duplicates on a few stamps so I'll probably use them when I can so if one breaks I'll still have the other One important thing seems bess though to be him - the guarantee. It comes with a piece of paper that says if anything about the gun fails within the first year contact them on this 800 number and they will replace the part. Hopefully I don't have to discuss this with you, but if I do, I'll get back to you here. Oil the gun when you get it, this will help with the power required and the die is less likely to break due to overuse. because you only feel pressure on the threads. Don't overdo it or the dies will break. These are handy tools. I'm thinking of all sorts of ways to use them!
