neon yellow light (as promised); Reflective elements do not overload

I was looking for a colorful cord with reflective properties to be able to see it at night in low light conditions (made a traditional braid to make a loop to check if my gate in the fence remains closed - the dog is safe inside). The loop stays outside in the elements. This may not be the most common usage. So please read this review in the back of your mind. However, the neon yellow cord is very striking. I was able to make a tight and flexible braid to use as above. I tied the ends together and then dipped the ends of the cord in clear nail polish three times to keep it from fraying. Note: I think you need to do something with the ends - you can of course just tie a small knot at the ends. For my purposes, neon yellow is easily visible in low light alone. I would have preferred the reflective threads to be a bit larger (to improve night time visibility) but the cable works as advertised. I am happy with this purchase. I don't know how well the loop holds up in the elements outside, but the cord is enough if I need to make a new loop every now and then.
