Review on Freud Ultimate Plywood Melamine LU79R006M20 by Jose Mcdaniel

Smoothest Cut Ever

I bought this blade a few days ago. I make furniture from oak and birch plywood. Plywood thickness from 1/8" to 3/4". I need a blade that won't chip or splinter. the blade I ever had. I have Milwaukee, Irwin, Black and Decker, Disston and other joy saws. This Freud LU79R cuts much smoother than any other I've tried. I've tried the blade on some 2x4 and 2x6 pines. The cross section is very smooth and the same as the longitudinal section, but slower. The reason for the smoothness of the cut and edge becomes clear when you grasp the blade and notice how sharp the cutting tips are on each piece of carbide. SPICY! The sharp ends move away from the surface of the blade body at an angle. The combination of a thin blade and a kerf with ultra-sharp carbide teeth makes it easy to push wood through the blade as you cut. The blade stays aligned better than my other blades. Leaves no burn marks. I can not explain. If you want a smooth cutting blade, buy this.
