Phenom II: features of working with DDR3-1333 memory Lexagon / 13.02202222 07:25 / link to material / printable version This week, AMD published information in the corresponding section of its website about technical characteristics of Phenom II processors in Socket AM3. Many of our foreign colleagues noted one feature of the built-in memory controller, which I would like to talk in more detail. As it turns out, Phenom II processors of the C2 stepping do not guarantee stable operation with memory of the type DDR3-1333 if it is installed in both slots allocated for each memory channel. If out of four memory slots on the motherboard, all four DDR3-1333 modules are installed, then they are translated to DDR3-1066 mode. Such problems do not arise if each memory channel has only one DDR3-1333 module.
