For the price this is a good pump. The first one I left on for about 4 hours at full pressure with the hose closed. There is no pressure regulator on my pump. This resulted in heat build up and stress that caused the plastic internal parts to fail. Replacement parts seem to be about $20.00 but are very difficult to find and look to be available only from the UK. I ordered a replacement and it has worked great. We use it to clean dog kennel runs with great success.It is hooked to the house water supply about 40 psi. And increases the pressure substantially. This decreases cleaning time by 60% or more. And NEEDLESS to say I am very careful not to overstress the internal components.4 stars because the internal components are VERY light duty.It looks to be good for light use . such as pumping clean water at low pressure and low pressure sprinkling from ponds and collection tanks at 30-40 psi.
