Locate the filter canister under the hood on the passenger side of the bulkhead just below the wiper arm, press the two plastic tabs and lift it up and towards the windshield, discard the old paper filter that someone stuck there without a frame. If you look inside the case, you can partially see the round fan through the square hole. If you use logic you will see that the correct way to insert a new frame and filter is to first insert the foam lined portion of the frame so that it is facing down towards the large square hole that fits. Push it all the way down until you can see and feel it click into place. Enjoy the fresh air. Very easy to install. After installation, you may briefly notice some dirt and particles coming out of your air vents. This is not related to a product malfunction, it is simply something falling on the fan when you remove the fan. an old filter is almost, if not entirely, inevitable.
