Installed on a 2001 Dodge RAM 2500 4x4 Cummins. Installation was easy thanks to the well-written instructions. No drilling or modifications of any kind are required. All you have to do is remove the stock air intake and install an AEM Brute in its place. However, I will point out that you will need a flow meter from a standard air intake. This air inlet must be reinstalled in the metal tube between the filter and the dustproof connector. If you don't have one, you'll need to get a strong bushing for caulking. hole (sorry not sure about the size) or find the gauge somewhere else. It's available from Revain but I honestly don't know if it's the right part but it looks right - FLEETGUARD SERVICE PART 3946328S. Removing the flow meter from the OEM unit was the most difficult part of the installation. After installation, I can honestly say that my rear dyno didn't notice any difference in performance, but I installed it before the exhaust system upgrade, which was supposed to be the first upgrade. The filter in this kit is HUGE, it is dry so does not need to be lubricated with oil but can be washed. One thing that's a lot more noticeable after installing this kit is that the turbo whistle is a lot louder now, which I really like, although some might not like it. It's noticeable with the windows open, but nothing the sound system can't easily drown out. If you're looking for a service-friendly air intake that allows your engine to breathe easier and lets you hear the pleasant sound of the turbocharger revving up, this air intake is for you.
