Review on AOC U2790VQ – 4K Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Tilt Adjustment, Wall Mount, Blue Light Filter by Bruce Chinn

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality product at an affordable price

I bought the second one not so long ago (the first one in March 2020). Great monitor for the money ($210 I paid). The only issue I can point out is that the new one has a lower minimum brightness in "Custom" mode and is the only mode where you can set R/G/B values manually). Both have similar brightness/gamut in sRGB mode (though not the same - slightly different hue when comparing white - green on old monitor, red on new) The new one also has a calibration report for sRGB mode (average delta E =0, 53) The OSD button is located on the back of the monitor, making it difficult to reach, especially if you have two monitors installed side by side.

Pros
  • AOC 27" 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 UHD monitor with LED backlight
Cons
  • Screen Tearing: This occurs when the monitor's refresh rate is too slow, causing the image to appear choppy or distorted.
