We ordered 10 pieces. I love this concept and I'm glad we have several of these. However, they are very bright and cannot be dimmed or switched off, which is a shame. You cannot use them with GFI plugs, which precludes bathroom use. They didn't want to lay flat on some of our old forks, so they aren't completely flush in some places. But they are great for corridors and outlets near stairs.

Installation was easy and they looked good. The BIG problem, however, was that in order to turn off these overlays, you had to have your seat in full light. I'm in a townhouse and there are 5 windows downstairs, the sun can shine but they stay on. At first I thought I could live with it but then I decided after buying 14 for over $200.00 it didn't make much sense so I returned them. Please know the landscape of your house.

Good idea but not compatible with most household sockets. Almost all sockets used in construction are spring type. The electrician strips the wire and slides it in. It's very fast. Screw interchangeable sockets, where the cores are held by screws. This socket cover is only compatible with screw sockets. I contacted the company and they said I could either return the covers or have my outlets replaced.

Overall these night lights were easy to install. However, 2 of my sockets did not align properly with the metal contact strips. And since the bars don't move, I couldn't use them on these outlets. But other than that it worked, they are amazing, just enough light to keep you from stumbling in the dark but not so much that it doesn't disturb your sleep. I don't quite understand why but I could never get it to glow. I bought a pack of ten. I pulled one out and plugged it into an outlet connected to a regular working night light - nothing, even with the photo eye closed. Same results on the next two outlets I tried. In the end they work. The problem is that all of my outlets are grounded, not downstairs like most homes. There are two solutions to this problem: 1) Install the Snap Power Guidelight so that the LEDs are on the UP so they shine upward, OR 2) Remove the base mounting screws and rotate the base 180 degrees so that the Ground rests on the underside (after switching on, of course, turn off on the circuit board).
