🚪 Depo Front Driver Side Replacement Exterior Door Handle - Model 332-50013-172 Review

The dealer wanted a FUN amount for this part. No kidding, I was charged $118 just for the piece lol. I have confirmed with the parts counter. Oh my God no! Purchased and installed in 20-30 minutes.

Works as it should. There's one screw that's hard to reach, but that's GM's fault. The handle works great, has been on the truck for some time now with no problems. Will buy again when the next ice storm comes and I rip the door handle off. Maybe I should just buy it now and be ready.

I am very happy with this order. When the temperature was below zero, the door handle on the driver's side broke and I had to get into the car from the passenger side. The price was right and it installed in about 45 minutes and it looks good. Saved me $100. Today I will order the passenger side as it has signs of wear.

CASING. Easy to replace and not as expensive as the original part. An old truck, so I think the ABS plastic finally broke on a cold Maine winter morning. Ordered the day it broke and arrived the next day. Disassembled the inside of the door to access the nuts, inserted the rods into their respective clips and reattached them after about 25 minutes. Pretty happy.

High quality replacement for the protruding standard handle. Looks solid and true to the factory fit and finish. Includes a new plastic clip for the locking bar (handy if you accidentally break the original), but you'll have to reuse the original part's mounting nuts. Relatively easy to install for DIYers. About the same complexity as replacing the power window.

If you already have these installed, this is not a problem. Watch the YouTube video first if you haven't already. Be sure to secure the bars in place so they don't slip out after you reassemble the door. I had this problem and had to pay for auto glass to open the door because it wouldn't open from the inside or the outside. This is a setup issue, not a product issue. The product works great!

I received the door handle today and it took about an hour and a half to install which took up my time. You may also note that you only need to loosen the 2-10mm screws holding the window rail. I wouldn't take them off because it would be difficult to reattach those rails to screw them back on. I pulled a YouTube video of 1A Auto and they showed me the process step by step. Installed just a few days ago but seems as good as the original. The exchange procedure is a bit more complicated. Watch video on youtube. Do it step by step. Notes and photos can help. Ah, a trick. The two 10mm screws that attach the window to the rail only need to be loosened, not removed. All you have to do is move the window forward a little to get at the three nuts holding the door handle in place. Mine just arrived and came with ONLY ONE CLAMP - the same clip you see in the picture - which attaches to the handle. Unfortunately what I really needed was a clip for the locking bar as it broke while removing the entire contraption one fine morning. Luckily the old L-shaped clip for the handle stayed intact. I was able to VERY CAREFULLY remove the old handle clip and use it as the locking bar clip. "Okay, no problem," I think. I attached the whole contraption with both clamps and three nuts…
