Works great with CR-6 SE

Purchased to replace a broken switch on my Creality CR-6 SE 3D printer. I love the updated, simplified wiring design, and the switch itself has a much better feel than the original Creality switch. The shift travel is tight and it moves confidently into the desired position. The screw holes are at the top and bottom of the bezel rather than the ends like the original switch, but the switch is tight enough on the profile that I don't have to use any hardware to fix it.

Pros
  • . Widely used: computers, home appliances, or small DIY power distribution and control projects.
Cons
  • Can't remember

the title says 15A, it's not.

I have a fairly high power draw for this switch/plug assembly and needed at least a 15 amp rating for the switch, fuse and wiring to provide enough current. Read the title and further down the description, it turns out the switch is only rated for 10 amps at 125 VAC. I have a 15 amp fuse fitted and will be watching closely for overheating while I work when I finally get my project up and running again. I'm pretty sure he'll eat me, even though he knows he's not rated for it, even if it works…

Pros
  • Connector type: 3 pin IEC320 C14.
Cons
  • Quick Instruction

Thermistor and neutral wires were swapped, check the wiring

This is decent IEC quality and should hold up. Mine came as pictured, with a red wire on one end (believed to be line/hot), then blue (believed to be neutral) and yellow for ground. Using the DVM to check the connections, the red lug was actually neutral and the blue lug was actually hot. The earth was fine. I spent 2 years in electronics school and was a licensed electronics engineer in the 70's. I always check the wiring on EVERY device before wiring. So check your connections before plugging

Pros
  • Please note: This power switch is installed well in the whole set, it can be used immediately upon receipt, safe and convenient to add 3 wires.
Cons
  • Slightly torn
