Good quality sanding block

3m has good sanding blocks, i bought them for a lower price from PPG and Sherwin Williams paint shops but the price wasn't bad.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • so far so good

Ideal for grinding grooved strips

I bought these to sand down window moldings and they work great. I noticed that when sanding putty on wood, it sticks to the sanding pad but comes off easily.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

I love these sponges

I love these sponges. I have an arthritis problem and they are much easier to hold than standard sanding sheets. However, I still have to use very fine sandpaper, but they are perfect for the first sanding. In general I am satisfied with this product. Arrived on time

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • boring packaging

Save Money: Harbor Freight sponges last 4x longer for 1/3 the cost.

I tried using these sponges on some acrylic sheets for a project but they don't last very long. For one project I had to use two of these sponges as they wore out quickly. I went to Harbor Freight and bought 10 packs (same price) of abrasive sponges; One sponge has done the same amount of work as two of these 3M sponges and that's only 60% of its lifespan. Save money and buy HF sponges if you have them in your area.

Pros
  • Medium/Coarse
Cons
  • Large and Bulky

Not very durable Good for hand tools

They are not very durable and you will carry all the packaging in the project. I had a chalk paint cabinet that I needed to sand/age and thought I'd give it a try. I liked the shape of the blocks, they are easy to grab (both gloved and ungloved) and they don't get blown away by the wind when you put them on. I've found them to last a while with regular sheets of sandpaper, but that's not the case with these as they wear out and dull very quickly. I thought I had at least one left but ended up…

Pros
  • Universal sanding sponge
Cons
  • Not sure

> I HAVE TO BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS

SUMMARY: I read the bad reviews and found them overblown. It's 3M, right? Always high quality, right? Well, not in this case. CONS > A 3-pack sounds economical, but it's not. A 3M Pro scouring pad (e.g. two 3M Pro Grade Dual Angle scouring pads - one fine and one medium) will last longer than 3 of those "cheap" pads and will cut faster and be more comfortable to work with. I bought 2 packs of 3M Pro Medium Sanding Pads at Home Depot for $5.97 ($3 each). moderately rough surface. > Loses…

Pros
  • Use Wet or Dry
Cons
  • No Instructions
