🔲 3mm 12mm 1000mm Pultruded Flat Bars - Precision Controlled Review

I was hesitant to try this product as I am used to traditional laminates, but I am so happy I did. Through trial and error, I found that this pultruded flat controlled composite is a great alternative. It is easy to work with and has a high strength-to-weight ratio. The flexibility and durability make it perfect for my industrial and scientific needs. The only downside is that it is not as widely available as traditional laminates.

I was shocked at the weight as I expected it to be much lighter and have since found similar carbon parts elsewhere that are both lighter and MUCH cheaper.

As expected, this material is very stiff and light. I laminated a piece with a layer of spruce wood and made a top brace for an acoustic guitar out of it. (Part of an experimental design to allow the use of a detachable neck.) Fish glue was used for lamination and seems to stick well. It can be cut and sanded with common woodworking tools.
