Good for guitar mounting

As expected, this material is very stiff and light. I laminated a piece with a layer of spruce wood and made a top brace for an acoustic guitar out of it. (Part of an experimental design to allow the use of a detachable neck.) Fish glue was used for lamination and seems to stick well. It can be cut and sanded with common woodworking tools. The only downside is the fine black dust that makes a mess. I'll be using more of this stuff when I'm looking for ways to reduce the weight and increase the resonance of my guitars. Update: This is quite difficult for steel edged tools. I had to sharpen the Saf-T planing bits after working with this material a bit. Hacksaw blades and carbide cutters work well.
