Exactly what I thought of

Very attractive pole tip. It's very flat and with my handrail almost reaching the top of my post it was just what I needed. There isn't a built in method of attachment, but I don't know why small screws on the side couldn't be screwed in. I haven't done it, it just fits but it keeps the top of the frame dry, reasonably stable and very attractive.

Pros
  • Poles and accessories
Cons
  • No instructions

Will not fit mahogany post - too large

What if your post isn't exactly 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"? The pole I bought was smaller than these sizes and the cap didn't fit. Gluing doesn't work either because the edges protrude. So I had to make a collar to accommodate the larger diameter. I only had one post so it wasn't that bad. Make sure your post has the right dimensions, that's the lesson.

Pros
  • Building Materials
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Perfect replacement for cracked wood roofing

We moved into an existing home last fall. The deck was good but most of the wooden pole covers were chipped or cracked. I went through all the options and these copper caps caught my eye. I'm very happy with how easy they went. They're loose enough to allow the caps to blow off in high winds, so I bought some copper nails for the HD finish. I drilled the plugs but it turned out that wasn't necessary. I drilled a few holes right next to the crack in the frame. I held the copper nails with needle

Pros
  • Decking and fencing
Cons
  • Not sure
