Tough, beautiful, expensive

I love Ozco hardware. I would not recommend any other flooring. It looks great, is very functional and well designed. But like everything else from Ozco, these rafter clips are a bit pricey.

Pros
  • Pre-galvanized steel stock with black powder coat finish
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Easy to use!

I bought clamps to remodel my pergola. They made the job so much easier that now I don't have any Rafters need to be nailed or drilled. They are very durable and tidy and decorative looking rather than stacking lots of fittings. It also took half the time. Looks great. We used two clamps on each end, one on each side of the rafter and it was worth it No need to pre-drill hex head screws Clamps are easy to align with a small mark.

Pros
  • Kit includes: (10) 2" rafter clips; 20 OWT-Lock #12 1-1/4 Hex Head HD Sharp Point (1/4" Hex Head)
Cons
  • I'll add later

I decided to use these brackets first to fit the rest of the hardware. Functionally, they make a good connection between the rafters and the corresponding lintels/supports. I wouldn't call them stronger than other L brackets I've seen. The reason they only get 3 stars is that the screws that come with them come loose very easily. The powder coating is also easy to remove. I contacted Ozco to see if I could get additional screws but they never responded. (I'm also hoping to get 2 more brackets…

Pros
  • Hardware included
Cons
  • So far so good
