This thing sucks. Air!

God this thing sucks bloody air. I bought it for my 2005 Dodge Dakota 4x4 and it sucks air like no other. You can hear it suck as you drive the extreme cherry bomb with down turns. Throttle response, deff better. gas consumption. too soon to say. I will try to give another update on this topic. This showed my EST MPG on Hwy, I was averaging 26mpg as before, 24mpg. Acceleration was much less smooth and mileage was actually slightly worse. The return of the standard intake system brought the result.

This involves replacing your truck's stock filter and intake baffle with a cheap plastic pipe and K&N filter. Installation is easy and can be done with a set of sockets and basic tools. Unfortunately, all you get is terrible sucking noise from both your engine and your wallet, with no measurable boost in performance. I ran the K&N system for a few months to monitor its performance. Guttural noise, more power

It sounds like you're sucking out the excess air. Before FIPK I only heard the engine speed. This really opens up the airflow and allows a lot of combustion chamber echo back into the air intake, which in turn creates a VERY whistling sound when the engine is under load. You won't notice the "growl" in the parking lot. When I finished and took it out for a test run, the first time I crushed it, the sound almost scared me. It looks like he has duals now. More power, Scotty!

Got this for my Dodge Dakota ST v6 3.7l and installed it yesterday. Now my truck actually has power in the lower gears. He purrs like a big cat. even better on the freeway. More force! I'm not sure about MPG yet. I will keep you up-to-date. Just make sure you get the right one for your truck. See the manufacturer's website for details. To update. 11/20/13 5 times more power!
