Trailer wiring no longer damaged

Easy installation (took 5 minutes) with a 1 1/4" drill bit, cuts through plastic like a warm knife through butter. This product just plugs in to install. Like other reviewers, I've had looseness Trailer plugs that wear out, get damaged by pulling, etc. Not only does this protect your outlet, IT LOOKS WAY BETTER! And for less than $5? No problem.

This works for my purpose!

Not wanting the trailer light wires to come out of the trunk and through the trunk lid seal, I routed the trailer light wire behind the bumper. I didn't like grabbing the bumper and getting my hand dirty while grabbing and unhooking the cable. That does the trick! I like the clean and easy installation for the trailer lights. I know this is the place for a rear license plate light (on a pickup truck) but I used a tow hitch to cut a hole (not too big) in the rear bumper of my car and now it'sโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Generally OK, but...

Keeps my trailer cords from dangling

This is an amazing little adapter. I used it to connect the trailer cable through the rear bumper to keep the cable from dangling. My previous car often had the wire dangling loose and one day it was ruined by being dragged across the floor. This problem is no longer related to the adapter. To mount this little adapter, I simply drilled through the bumper with a step drill. Do this slowly so you don't drill too big a hole. I then installed the adapter with a black silicone gasket just to makeโ€ฆ

  • Excellent overall performance
