It's always hard to tell the size of something from an online description, but the business end of these hemostats is larger than I anticipated. So these aren't going to do delicate, tiny work. But they're perfectly fine for many other tasks. I purchased them specifically to change my nose ring and I was able to accomplish this, though it would have been easier with hemostats that had a much smaller, precision tip. Regardless, these are fairly priced. Hard to say how they'll hold up over the…
These are handy tools to have for all sorts of chores and crafts where you can't grab a hold of something. These hold on and lock tight. It's a must have for all sorts of crafts and chores. I just used them to help me pull a label off a new bowl. A+++++
Pros
Safe and effective method for extracting splinters or thorns
Cons
The straight tip can be imprecise and difficult to control
These were suggest as an "add on item" for chainsaw fuel tubing. Thanks Revain, they were the right tool for the job, saved several hours of frustration. Only wish I had a set of these years ago. Sure they make better ones, but these are more than sufficient for around the home repair. The locking function could be a little stronger, but then they may be harder to manipulate to get unlocked.
Pros
Great for crafting intricate sculptures or models
Cons
It's too expensive to replace and not worth the money
Very positive locking feature, great value for the money, sturdy construction. They will work great for removing deep set fishing hooks.
Does what it is intended for.
Pros
They will work great for removing deep set fishing hooks
WoW! And a surgeon calls these good quality? Don't want to get operated on where he last operated. From reading the reviews, there is apparently a wide span of qualities received by Buyers. If they are in fact POT METAL as one buyers states, they are completely worthless as the brittleness of pot metal makes them unsuitable for any tool use. And yes, I have seen lots of so called stainless steel that is just chrome plated pot metal. Looks nice but breaks fast. Pot metal has a crystalline…
Pros
Precise tip design capable of reaching tight spaces
Cons
The tips are not aligned correctly, which may cause an accidental slip
Sturdy and good size for mechanical use. Maybe not good for.taking out bolts and please do not confuse them for locking pliers, but they grip pretty well.
Pros
161S2
Cons
The locking mechanism is poorly designed and hard to operate
Love these two tools. I now don't have to worry about getting splashed with hot water. Plus I found a great use for the straight one. I use it to remove items that the kids throw in the disposal. With a flashlight and this tool, I can easily remove the obstruction.
Pros
Work great for doing the dogs bows - according to the wife. As expected
Cons
The straight tip may not be straight enough for some tasks
I was looking for something to clear out paper jams from our computer printer. Turns out these are just perfect! they are long enough to get into where fingers can not. And the curved pair has just the right curve to get into that place where my fat fingers can not.My opinion these should be sold as printer pliers. I was going to buy some long needle nose pliers for getting out the jammed paper. But those were $11+. when i thought about items i had owned in my past. And I came up with this…
it was suggested i get one of these to use for turning fabrics out of tubes; however, it is difficult to use - and it has torn some of my fabric - I gave them away
This seems to be designed and manufactured properly, clearly suitable for long-term use in my home office. I couldn't ask more of a cost-effective solution. Handy to reach into tiny spaces (like office equipment), good gripper (my hands have limits, steel doesn't), great puller and twister. One is good, two is better. No wonder surgeons like them.
Pros
Great for reaching into tight places...And a firm grip...Every tool box "must have"...
I use these in my shop as an extra set of clamps for those finer jobs. When they arrived I thought they were a bit large, certainly larger than I expected. After using them in a project that involved heavier gauge wire I found that these slightly larger versions were better suited at the jobs for which I'd need them. A handy tool for any work bench!
Pros
Multipurpose utility for fishing, crafting, and automotive repairs
Cons
The locking mechanism can result in injury if not handled correctly
I'm a disabled RN- and have seen my share of hemostats. I have a bunch of small ones that used to be standard in suture removal kits back in the mid-late 80s (they were nice- we used to 'fight' to take out sutures so we could keep the scissors, tweezers, and hemostats- they were that good, and I've still got them !). But I needed something larger for some doll projects I have. The price on these was very good, and the quality is excellent. Thumbs up :)
I bought these to practice some suture techniques and make my hands more familiar with the instruments. And it was satisfying and very useful. And one surprising use I found for this product is that it’s suitable for eating chicken. I personally hate eating chicken with my hands and fork just don’t do it. So I used it as an utensil and it was sooo easy. It just goes into those nukes and crannies
Pros
Little to big for what I wanted will get smaller ones later.
I complained today they were very late. But after I sent complaint they came in the mail. Thank you and was glad to get them. That was my only issue was they came late. The order matched what I wanted.
Pros
Good for random needs around the house. Not medical grade, if you have had a chance to own a pair.
Excellent quality and arrived in a reasonable time given the covid-19 delays. I have added them to my tool chest for repair work on power tools. Very easy to grab fuel lines and other difficult to reach parts. Recommend them to all DIY mechanics.
Pros
Don't trust imitations, order only from Hobby Tool Supply for genuine HTS branded products
I got these for canine ear cleaning. I clip the cotton ball into the end and then I can swab inside of the ear canal and get into the nooks and crannies. I do not shove this into the ear but use it instead of my finger for cleaning. These are sturdy, heavy duty clamps. One straight and one curved. They have worked nicely for this simple task.
Pros
These hemostats did the job. They were purchased for crafting. Worked fine.
