Replace Kawasaki hall horn (easy)

I bought this set of horns for Concourse 14. The original horn bracket has to be removed (two screws). The horns can be easily banked and installed in the same location as the original horn. There is a metal Y-bracket that needs to be removed. It will not reset. However, two screw holes are used to mount both horns side by side. Being able to put the rubber grommets through the Piaa brace will keep vibration to a minimum, but they can be installed without them. There is always the problem of…

Very loud and pleasant sound

Bought to replace "Bad Boy Air Horn" which failed after only 2 years. The first thing that struck me was that they were really well made and felt premium. Second, they were fitted with a splash guard over the "mouth" which I have not seen on any other horns. Whilst they were very easy to install I was disappointed that no fasteners were included, a relay or wiring doesn't matter but for the price would they kill them if they included some nuts and bolts? Now the bottom line, how do they sound…

Loud European sound, easy installation

The horns were easy to install. They draw about the same amount of current as my stock horns (between 2.5A and 3A for each PIAA horn) so I was able to use the standard wiring, relay and fuse instead of making a separate connection to the battery positive. I used type B setup (two horns with one wire each). The positive terminals of the standard horn connect directly to the positive quick connector of the PIAA horns. I didn't have to cut off stock plugs and crimp new plugs. Standard horns use a…

My Civic now sounds like a Caddy

Yes, I am satisfied. It took me less than 1 hour to install today, mainly because I very carefully disassembled the front of my Civic (this is 1998 and I also replaced the headlight assembly about 4 months ago). In any case. The sound of my Civic (which is in fantastic condition and has a new 100,000 mile guaranteed engine) no longer sounds like a skimpy moped when I'm trying to get someone's attention and all I had was another horn . (c) for 1/2 day. With the old horn the car looked more like…

Exactly what I was looking for

The PIAA Sport horns were exactly what I was looking for for my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Sport. They're louder than my standard horns, but not too obnoxious. The audio is very high pitched and really stands out meaning my car is heard when I need it. If I were to try to describe the tone, I would say they sound like a raspy trumpet sound in the high notes. Like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini from the 80s. Not the meep-meep of most Japanese cars, nor the soft honk of American cars, they sound very…

Simple, EZ and Affordable PIAA HORNS

This was my first experience with AMAZON.COM and I am very satisfied with the whole process from purchase, delivery and final installation of the PIAA 85112 115db 500HZ + 600HZ Sport Horn. They replaced a weak factory horn on our 2008 TOYOTA Corolla CE. No holes needed to be drilled as I was able to use the existing bolts/screws that were already on and around the heatsink support structure. They are the perfect size for the limited space under the hood and they sound great! The instructions…

An inexpensive way to improve your car!

These horns are a hit! (Pun:). For a small price, they take the blunt moose horns found in most American cars and turn them into the sexy European high-pitched notes we hear in every European movie where the bad guy hurtles through traffic. A great way to make your imported sound authentic and like other brands. This kit comes with 500 and 600MHz horns. Almost all cars in America have a 400 and 500 kit. Although you get both, you really only need to replace the 400 in your car with the 600…

Very nice European sound

One month update: I'm still very happy with the horns and have increased my rating from 4 to 5. I originally gave the horns a 4 because they weren't as loud as I was. expected, but now I find them just perfect the way they are. First Review: I replaced the original fragile horn on my 2001 Sebring Coupe LXi with this pair of horns as part of a major rebuild. It took about 20 minutes with excellent results. Not as loud as I'd like, but much better sounding for more attention grabbing when needed.
