Compact and easy, hot knife in butter

No dislikes here, this core drill worked flawless in a sds plus drill.Made short work of a job drilling marble and stayed on the spot with pilot bit.

Pros
  • Works good center bit a little long I just shortened it cuts through brick fast.
Cons
  • Was able to do the job but it was slow. It took some time to finish.

Drilled a nice core through brick. Got harder when coring through poured concrete. I realize that it is not recommended to core through poured concrete, but this eventually did the trick. Took about an hour of drilling (drill only, no hammering with drill). Glad I found a dry core solution that solved my problem!

Pros
  • Didn’t work as well as expected
Cons
  • They work but very slow cut

This is a really good dry core

This is a really good dry core. I cuts a perfect round hole in concrete and cinder block using my impact hammer drill. I bought the 2" bitGood buy for sure at a great price.

Pros
  • ROTARY MODE ONLY - please only use rotary mode with our core bits
Cons
  • The diamond core may produce uneven or inconsistent holes

Broke at shaft first day, second cut

Pot metal quality. Vendor offered to replace but all I needed was shaft which screws to the back so I kept it and bought a replacement which was also from here but it was useless as the quality was horrible with many manufacturing flaws. Wish I would have returned it. I would look for something in a higher grade and price.

Pros
  • Worked great for job
Cons
  • May produce excessive noise during use

Quality is not the greatest

6/7/22 I purchased this bit to drill a whole through red brick to run the duck work for a bathroom exhaust fan. The bit manage to drill through half the depth of the brick at which point the blade was dull and could not longer cut. I contacted the seller about exchanging my bit for a new replacement. I'll post additions to this review as things unfold6/7/22 The seller contacted me a short time after I messaged them and agreed to replace the product.6/8/22 tlThe seller reached out and wanted to…

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • The plastic case that comes with the product may be flimsy and not provide enough protection

Better than expected

Put this on a Bosch Bulldog (SDS+) using an 18” extension and dry cored through about 32” of brick, CMU, and clay tile that had been thrown together to make an old fireplace. The pilot bit was basically useless for my purpose, but the core bit just kept chewing and spitting out pieces. I was very pleasantly surprised. Definitely would recommend.

Pros
  • This diamond dry core bit is perfect for concrete drilling, with a high level of power and efficiency that gets the job done quickly and effectively
Cons
  • The SDS Plus Pilot Bit Adapter may break or become damaged during use

Terrible design slipping setscrew

The setscrew on the pilot bit kept slipping and could not be tightened enough to stay in place. Tried to counteract the slippers with tape and zip ties and nothing worked. Would not recommend this item to anyone at that price. After going through two layers of concrete block the core bit is spent. If you buy this plan on being annoyed with the pilot bit And only getting one use out of the core bit

Pros
  • The SDS Plus pilot bit adapter ensures precise drilling every time, allowing you to create perfectly-sized holes with ease
Cons
  • May not work well on brittle or fragile materials

I’m pleasantly surprised !

I must admit I was surprised by this product. I expected a cheap one use type of core saw for the money and were it’s from. I was wrong! It’s done multiple bore holes through red brick, concrete, cement block and it’s still holding up and ready for more!

Pros
  • Works great!
Cons
  • Not suitable for use on metal surfaces
