Worked - replacement parts

I'm not a professional mechanic just an amateur so this review is based on that. I ordered this kit to remove the steering wheel on my 2001 Jeep Wrangler and replace the clock spring. The tool worked great in this situation. I haven't tried it for other uses but it worked great as a steering wheel puller.

Worked great for dragging the harmonic balancer on a Camry.

Worked great to get the Harmonic Balancer out on a Camry with a 3.0L 1MZ-FE V6 engine. The kit does not include the size of screw required to screw into the balancer, so you need to purchase it yourself. You need two M7x1.0 screws with a length of 45 mm. M7 is a very strange size, only Ace had it in stock

Product does not match the description!

As others have said the photos in the description (and even on the storage box that came with it) do not match the actual part in the kit. The puller flange does not have a raised band as shown in the listing. Instead, it's a fairly thin piece of stamped metal. I purchased this tool after trying to remove the flywheel from a lawnmower and I have no doubt this tool would have failed to remove this part. Returned the same day they arrived.

Garbage. Cheap. curves and stripes.

This product is garbage and does not match the picture. It's a lot thinner and the screws aren't even grade 8 so they're going to break. Very very disappointed. You buy cheap stuff, you get cheap stuff. The most annoying thing is that the product images are not correct, the metal is not that thick. If you look at the picture in the description you will see that the metal gets progressively thicker towards the center bolt. However, this is not the case. It remains thin, with a lip containing a…

Not fit for the task

As others have pointed out, this really isn't fit for the job it's intended for. I had a small flywheel that I had to remove from the outboard and bent it just before the flywheel came free. I can also say that I used a lot of penetrating lubricant and tapped the flywheel with a mallet to loosen it. I also used my own screws and impact wrenches. So it's sort of a disposable tool, if anything. I suppose you could make the base plate out of some other thicker metal but overall the quality just…

Ok, not great, but good.

First off, the plate is a bit flimsy and looks like just mild steel. He could be a little stronger. I could see it starting to flex a bit but it pulled the balancer with no problem. Luckily I was able to use the original pulley bolts to bolt it to the balancer. There are several bolts to choose from, but the only ones with the right diameter and thread for my engine (a small Ford block) were quite long and only had two, not the three I would have needed. I got this working, but it would have…

The product arrived on time.

Very well made product, the hard case holds it together very well and makes it easy to find. However, on my 06/F150/FX4 pickup with a Triton 5.4 3-valve engine, I had to pull the handle. The pulley on this particular motor has 3 3/8 threaded holes to install a puller to pull evenly. This kit contains only 2 3/8 bolts that need to be screwed back into the balancer to pull evenly. I was able to purchase an extra 3/8 bolt at the parts store to remove the balancer and add to the kit to have the…
