Velvet curtain Absolute Zero is normal. At over $20, it is very expensive for only 1 curtain panel. I thought the price meant the material was a lot thicker, like velvet. This curtain isn't that thick which is why I question a lot of those 5 star reviews. This curtain is good at blocking light, but I didn't notice much of a difference when it came to noise reduction. I wanted to use a stronger noise reduction material and the Absolute Zero shutter is not like that. You don't get a thick…

Pros
  • EASY INSTALLATION - Pocket pole design fits any standard or decorative pole for quick and easy installation. Immediately ready to hang.
Cons
  • Very expensive

Warning Emptor is suitable for window treatment

These curtains are exactly the same but are sold much cheaper than the Eclipse brands. ($12 here on Revain.) They're all made by Ellery Homestyles as mine were labeled when I opened them. Whatever they are I am not happy with this purchase as I paid $250 for what should have cost me $50. However, after the hassle of hanging them up, downsizing them and evaluating their performance, I have no desire to return them and buy a better set. They made no noticeable difference in the amount of outside…

They will block ALL light.

These curtains effectively block light. If you can fit it to perfectly match your windows (ie there is no gap at the top or bottom) you can achieve total darkness even in broad daylight. However, make sure they are absolutely flush as the back of the curtain is white otherwise there will be reflections. (If the back was black there would be fewer reflections, but the curtains would also get very hot in the sun!) Note that they don't block sound much. If anyone is interested in buying curtains…

Pros
  • PREMIUM QUALITY - Expertly crafted 100% polyester blackout curtains. Sold as a single panel (panel measures 50" wide x 95" long).
Cons
  • Not bad

Big! Bought a second one!

I love this curtain! I just bought a second one too. Both are on the Used - Good condition listing for a good price and both appear to be brand new! I suspect people buy them and then just find they don't fit their particular windows. I have 100% light blocking (I have calculated that there is a lot of material going through my window frames on all sides). The material is thick and comfortable to the touch, it is easy to iron. I was looking for heavier curtains to help with noise etc so I'm…

Great product for the price

They really black out! No light penetrates these babies. I have them in dark brown. I bought three of these for our 107 inch window which is directly across from our large flat screen TV in the multimedia/family room. I was concerned when I saw the description "velvet" that they would look very dated and heavy. NOT SO! They look great, it's more of a suede fabric than heavy velvet. Don't get me wrong, these are heavy curtains, not light summer curtains. And my home is very different because of…

Pros
  • 100% polyester
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
