Smokin deal! Best parts

BCM worked great, HALF the price the dealer is asking. You have to take it to the dealer to install new software, ONE hour of work at a cost of 120.00 per hour. The car will NOT start, just buy and install. My car started so I went to the dealer, I've known the technician there for many years. If you are using a Tech 2 scanner you must have it in order to program the new BCM. THANK YOU Revain again for the best price, free shipping and NO taxes. How cute!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Hard to say

ok not great for ignition parts

Worked. Fixed notifications on Christmas tree dashboard. But not (yet) a 100% solution. The mechanic who programmed it said he can't turn off the airbag light on the dash as it's not 100% compatible. Also, the radio is currently not working. He says it's a dead radio - hard to believe since it came out of the box. I'll update when I figure out the radio. But for the price ($120 per program) it totally justified its price tag.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Will be added later

Just buy this part and never talk about problems with a broken part.

This solved all the problems with my mother's cars. Dealer programming costs $150. Just buy this part and program it. Your care begins. The battery will not be discharged. Door locks work. The radio works and does not drain the battery. How often do you have to start a snatch? Just buy this part and never talk about problems with a broken part.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Great replacement but had to be reprogrammed by dealer as radio was not working properly. A reprogrammable computer shop costs $60. Best Buy can do it for less than a retailer. Install it yourself as the dealer will charge you a large amount. It's a little tricky, but you can do it. Just document where all your screws came from so you can put it all back together without having a Frankenstein dashboard.

Worked great!: Engine computer

Auntie had problems with her Impala 01. Lights on and off, battery dead for no reason, windows cannot be lowered. After replacing the module yourself (at the dealer parking lot) and flashing everything works as it should again. On examination, the old one had electrical components that had gotten hot and were physically failing. than physically cracked and falling apart. Don't pay 100 shillings to have the dealer replace it. It only takes 5-10 minutes to get the old one out and the new one in…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are nuances

Worked for me: Replacement parts

Bought for a 2001 Monte Carlo that was having intermittent electrical problems diagnosed as a failed BCM. The old one actually had a loose part of one of the processors rattling in the case, probably due to heat damage. This arrived in packaging that had been opened and resealed so wasn't sure what I was getting but everything was fine. It took them 3 trips to the dealership before they finally got it set up properly, with all relevant options enabled, radio unlocked and airbags working due to…

  • Best in the niche

Completely unreliable.

Just today (March 15, 2018) I had time to finally ship it to a Chevy dealership (Serra Chevrolet, Southfield, Michigan). After installation the dealer tried to program only for the dealer mechanic to get back to me and call me to his work station to show me so I could see for myself - the Tech II read "BCM IS SECURED". and I was told the BCM could not be programmed. The dealer recommended buying a new part from them (for $320!) and having them install and program it since apparently even with…
