Works on GMC 2016 Canyon 2nd Gen (Pretty sure Colorado too!)

Took 10 minutes to install, it was messy. because the tank is almost full. I made a video if you want to find it on YT - "acdelco onza04". Installation was pretty easy. Disconnect the power plug, tilt the pump at an angle of 30 degrees, pull the black hose out of the tank, pull with a vise, wait for the liquid to come out, replace the pump with a new one and drink beer !

Fake parts, no explanation

I bought this item twice, once in August and again in November 2019 after the first one was defective. I was hoping it was that rare bad engine that came first. The second also failed, both just outside the window of my return. I have a newer 2015 GMC Canyon and thought the remote electrical system might be the culprit. I paid more for the motor at my local NAPA and it has been running flawlessly for almost 6 months now. I suspected that I had received counterfeit or otherwise inferior parts. I

Works well on replacement parts

After taking everything off, the part is very easy to assemble. I wish this part had a rubber grommet (I think that's what they're called) but we were able to reuse our original grommet. We installed this on our 2016 Silverado. I couldn't believe a genuine part failed on a car with only 30,000 miles on it, but after a little research it turned out to be quite a common occurrence. I'm not sure why, but I'm glad the part was only $20! The whole installation took about an hour. It was agony…
