With map light conversion 1990 Suburban

I took a chance that they would fix the map light in my 30 year old Chevy Suburban. They are not an exact replacement for this application. However, with modification, they work well.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Exact original and easy repair.

Perfect fit. In OEM packaging. This is what you need when yours is broken. Installation was very easy. Remove the clear lens, unscrew the 2 torx screws, pull the plastic case down and remove, slide the switch back to remove the connector and reverse the process.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Problems

I fixed the top passenger light switch

I couldn't find the top passenger light switch on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo so I tried. I had to cut off 50% of the white switch stem and cut and tin the wires from the original switch. The switch works as a good replacement for the original.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Work as advertised.

I bought these to try and fix my 1990's suburban overhead console reading lights. They weren't made for this model, but the round button that holds them in place is the same size as my originals. I then just had to tweak the wiring and also lengthen the end you press on to activate the switch. They worked great!

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Fits my 2002 Ford Excursion! Amazing

I have been looking for a replacement dome light switch for my 2002 Ford Excursion for a long time. And I found it. This! ACDelco 25877453 is the one. I wish they advertised it that way. Some modifications are required as the Ford cables do not have a connector but do have some odd pinching on the connectors. I simply cut them off and crimped the very thin pins and plugged them into an ACDelco connector. Works great. I'm so glad I found this.

replace gmc sierra 2005 map backlight

works! Much better than paying for a new lamp at the dealer. You just have to get a little creative. First remove the map light with the torx in front near the windshield and just gently pull the other side down as it is simply held by two slots. This switch has 3 wires. I cut 3 blades from an unsoldered thermal (crimp connector) and put 1 in each of the 3 slots, then soldered a wire to each of them (the black wire stays in the middle, the other 2 don't care. Voila!

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • update available

Exact replacement for 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT Map Light

This was an exact replacement right down to ID and Patent numbers as the map light came on on my Sierra. Specifically, the 2011 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT. On my truck, changing the switch required removing the lens (lamp cover) by prying out the two access holes on the back of the lens with a small flat head screwdriver. The rubber portion of the button then attaches to the clip and releases simply by pulling down. From there I unscrewed the two screws holding the overhead console on the left and…

  • Great for a small home
