Questionable verification process.

The starter didn't work. Bendix kicked once and refused to kick again. This item was returned claiming to have been tested and I purchased it on that basis, but it is defective. It took me a few hours of my time and I ended up putting the old one back in after cleaning it.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Hard to say

perfect for beginners

I hope it's decent in terms of durability. Every year for 3 years I replaced it with a "lifetime" from the auto zone. I took a spare from them again and now I have him as a spare. Not sure if it's Delco Mexican or Michigan, it might actually be the real Michigan one. Anyway, Michigan was on the box. It's crazy, I fix this old car all the time, but it's an art car, so it's worth it for me. To update. Still works great and starts faster than when I started. .

The starter didn't work.

Bought this starter to replace my 25 year old original starter in my Blazer. The old starter still worked but I knew it would probably fail soon and I would be stranded. Replaced with this AC delco. the new ac delco didn't work. Don't waste money. The starter came in a VERY crumpled box and the magnet could rotate when the wires were pulled to the posts. I reinstalled the original and it worked. I ended up getting a Duralast from AutoZone and it looks like the return process is going to be…

Works great in my 1996 Astro Van.

This worked fine on my 1996 Astro Van. This fixes the problem of the starter oscillating before jerking, especially when the engine is warm. Smaller than my old starter but fits well. Easy DIY work. Simply loosen 2 bolts, reset the starter and disconnect the 2 wires. (Be sure to disconnect the negative cable from the battery first.) Reinstall in the reverse order. I consider it my duty to purchase Delco parts for any electrical repair on my Chevy. My original starter has 156,000 miles so can't…

Doesn't fit my car.

Bought for my 89 GMC S15 4.3 V6 with engine. Says it fits, but doesn't. Anchor diameter is larger, should be for V8. I managed to lift it up and put it in place, but the anchor hit the frame, preventing the starter bolt holes from matching the holes in the body. Only one screw could be screwed in because the starter is slightly slanted due to the impact on the frame. I will have to send it back. The solenoid wires are a real pain because there is no room to work on this PU, it took forever…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Crumpled

Starter AC Delco 337-1011

This part number was listed as a starter replacement for my '95 S-10 4.3L Code W 4x4 PU. It's wearable. with minimal extra effort. The starter motor section looks the same as removed, however the solenoid section is larger. If you have changed the starter to S10, the gap dimensions are very narrow. You have to move a lot and try different ways/angles to get in or out. The big solenoid doesn't help! Also on the original block there is a heat shield over the solenoid. This replacement starter…
