Description of ACDelco 41 110 Professional Iridium Spark

Iridium offers excellent engine idle stability and smooth performance. Iridium allows for small, efficient electrode designs for reliable cold starting and quick acceleration. Iridium fine-wire electrode helps burn away carbon deposits on the tip of the plug as they form. One piece suppressor seal helps block radio frequencies that can affect vehicle electronics. Suppressor seal meters spark energy for long electrode life and helps prevent combustion leakage. Some ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts may have formerly appeared as GM Genuine Parts (OE) or ACDelco Professional. GM engineers design and validate OE parts specifically for your Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicle. Original equipment parts are designed to work with your GM vehicle safety systems -- aftermarket replacement parts may not meet the same OE safety regulations, depending on the part type. GM regularly updates production and service part designs to integrate new materials and technologies.

Genuine AC Delco spark plugs

It was a real deal. Sold individually (bought eight). Assuming they last as long as the originals, hence the five star rating for mileage and durability. The price was very competitive and even qualified for an AC Delco rebate so twice the value.

Revain should protect them in transit

The first set was thrown in the car parts bin. Two candles were squeezed so hard at the top that the iridium was bent! The second set was thrown into a smaller box and the corks just bounced around. If .040 wasn't important, GM wouldn't have made gaps. Revain had better wrap her up, that's all I'm saying. GREAT PRICE BUT

Great corks, not such a great choice from Revain!

I'm sure the spark plugs themselves are perfect as they are already installed in my car. What I didn't like was that I received them in a yellow envelope and not in what seems like 2 - 4 packs they are sold, they didn't like the factors either as you can see in the picture they were off two different batches. So the three stars belong to Revain, not the candles themselves.

The spark plugs themselves were mostly fine, but you might.

The spark plugs were mostly fine, but you could tell they had been on the shelf for a long time. The boxes were worn and a bit dented but the corks were generally in decent condition although a few had surface rust on the flats. However, it was immediately cleaned with a brass brush. I'd probably just eat the extra price to get them at my local parts store or dealership next time.

Platinum or Iridium?

I have the impression that it is better to use the spark plugs that came with your car. In my case, "platinum" forks are required, but I've read (on the GMC forums) that Iridium has replaced the platinum forks. So I went with that and it seems to have put some power back into my 14 year old GMC and I got a slightly better MPG too. A NOTICE. Originally individually packed, but without a protective tube. CHECK THE DISTANCE!

The price was good but only slightly better than auto parts stores. This batch comes individually boxed but each spark plug comes in its own box. No protective cardboard sleeve. One of the eight had insufficient clearance - I used a Delrin spacer cut to .040" and checked with a micrometer - about .025" so it could have gotten in there or fallen off - and no protective case. , the "ground electrode" is slightly curved inwards. Revain offered a new one, but the wait was uncomfortable. . .
