Description of ๐Ÿš— ACDelco Professional 530-387 Premium Gas-Charged Rear Shock Absorber for Enhanced Performance

A hardened, chromed piston rod with micro cracks provides an ultra-smooth, self-lubricating, corrosion- and scratch-resistant surface, helping increase seal life. Drawn over mandrel (DOM) pressure cylinder for high quality sealing properties and reduced internal friction to assist with longer product life. Gas charged for reduced fluid aeration, which can result in better response, less foaming, and more consistent control than non-gas charged shocks. Full perimeter, multi-lip, piston rod seal is permanently lubricated and helps keep dirt and contaminates from reaching the interior of the rod. O-ring hydraulic piston seal resulting in minimized piston blow-by and consistent control. Stroke Length-8.69 inch.

Fits and works

Installed on a 2004 Avalanche. Took a rebound off the bungee. To be honest, this truck was like a trampoline replacing the shock absorbers on the rear axle. It's another sweet ride.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Complete scrap - spare parts

Not sure if this is a Chinese fake but these shocks are completely useless after 3 months. My Tahoe wobbles a lot from side to side. Stayed with them until I put in new ones because the return window closed on May 12th.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Can't remember

Cons
  • Packaging ugly

These shocks do not fit Chevy Suburban 03

Shocks do nothing but clank, clank, clank. I installed these shocks on my Chevy Suburban 03. They are fully extended except for an inch when you install them they don't have enough room to move so they BUCK when your suspension goes up and down. You reach the bottom. They are too short and too skinny.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Available in white only

Poor OEM replacement for 05 Tahoe

Replaced with these Chevy Tahoe 05 OEM shocks They looked a lot thinner than the OEM. I was apprehensive about using them but HAD to change OEM, they were ready and this is supposed to be the right replacement. They did NOTHING to help my suspension. The rear of my Tahoe still sounds terrible, and the suspension and dampers are still terrible. You're too fragile for this truck, spend a little more money and get a stronger damper.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Hard to tell

2002 Tahoe 4x4 - Shocks

This is a great shock for the money. My Tahoe has 4WD and a trailer package, but no air ride, stability control, or other electronically controlled suspension. The old shock absorbers were in disarray. That's joy. super soft compression and very controlled rebound. They are smaller in diameter compared to the factory mufflers, but I didn't want to spend $400 on them. They make sure you have a good trip. It's a bit wobbly, but the rest of the suspension isn't new, so I'm pretty sure some of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Bought them here for $40 each because they were ac delco. Less than 1200 total city miles and 8 months and rear driver side impact. I can reach up and move it easily. The passenger side is still intact. I paid extra for stock shocks and got crap. 2001 TahoeUpdate: ac delco Lifetime Warranty. Revain honors this guarantee and will cover the return of ac delco products. However, most support staff are unaware of this. Mine were bought 9 months ago. I called over the weekend and got a nice butโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • No power

Fit 2004 Z71 Suburban Fine

I should have gotten these 2 years ago, my Suburban climbed bumps pretty badly and the rear end wobbled left/right quite a lot when you rounded a corner on a deep bump. . Despite the red originals, they seem to go well with the series springs. Haven't installed the front ones yet but swapping out the rear ones was a big improvement. The bushings are a bit narrower than the original, I have maybe 1/8" play on each side, but I don't think that would be a problem. If that bothers you, a couple ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automatic

Complete crap, wouldn't run them again if they paid me

2004 Suburb. Drive a lot, the first 5 weeks. After less than 200 miles they started making noise and ran like a garage, worse than the 15 year old factory shocks with 180,000 miles. In fact, the stock ride controls were still surprisingly good, all things considered. I'd rather take them out of my garbage heap and put them back on. But some reviews say I installed the wrong one. OK, sure, buddy. 2 screws and I got them wrong I'm sure. If they're lucky enough to have them, God forbid. As for meโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
