Quite sufficient - spares

Good part. You only need to lubricate the cylinder before installation. Otherwise it sticks a little to the return line. Don't forget that you have to use the plugs from the old part.

Pros
  • Packing length: 11.684 cm
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Great product, OEM Delco is just what you need for GM vehicles

Installs in approximately an hour and a half; I could do it now in about half an hour. The connector under the dash is a bit tricky to reach, but very doable. Considering I bought it for $71 and the dealer wanted $200 for the part and over $400 for a replacement (I don't think so). If you're inclined towards "mechanism" in general, you can do it.

Pros
  • Packed Height: 1"
Cons
  • Available in black only

Works great on Buick Century 01

The black plastic bezel broke the ignition on my 01 Buick Century which made starting very difficult. So I decided to replace it and use this part. It was more work than I expected. I had to remove the entire steering wheel, then remove the housing on the steering column to remove the old ignition cylinder. Then trace the wire up the steering column to where it connects above the accelerator pedal. So the bottom cover has to be removed as well. After replacing everything, the key turned, but…

Pros
  • Made in Mexico
Cons
  • boring packaging
