Not like in the picture!

The item came in a crumpled and sealed AC Delco box. Looks like it has been installed before. NO isolators - had to use isolators from my old module. Dissatisfied!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Good Quality - Coils

Good quality item easy to install. I also opted for three coils. The car now starts in milliseconds instead of 3-5 seconds. Have 19 years (200k) since last module hoping to get the same.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • No Machine

AC Delco part is worth the extra money

If you have a mid-size GM car from the early 2000's and need an ignition control module, spend the extra money on a Delco AC module. Seven modules from another manufacturer were installed in the garage in eight months. Eventually I insisted they use the Delco AC part and the problem went away.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are downsides

96 Pontiac 3.8 Firebird control module so far so good

I found out a long time ago that when it comes to any type of electrical sensors, switches, emission control, etc. I always buy a Delco AC part The only disappointing thing is that although it looked like the original Delco AC box the part that most ACD parts had absolutely NO markings or stickers on so I don't know?

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Compatibility

Ordered on 13th January 2020 and it's already out of service

When brand new they work like a charm and I would never recommend 3rd party parts manufacturers but after 3 months with more than a brand new acdelco ICM not working . Notoriously bad engineering from GM placed them above the bank 1 valve cover exhaust manifold. They are saturated with heat and regularly fail. Please contact me, ACDELCO. I stayed at your company for 37 minutes and you need to send me a free replacement as soon as possible.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Some bugs

Pay extra money!

I am an ASE certified car and heavy truck repair technician. I ran an experiment and would like to share my findings. First I drive a 1997 Buick Park Avenue. I overhauled the engine and it works fantastic. He then triggered the check engine light with the code "Random Miss." Decided to replace all coils. It didn't fix CEL. I then decided to replace the ignition control module with one of the cheap ones you can find online. My car barely started or steered. I removed and replaced it with a realโ€ฆ

Get the best for your child

I completely replaced all the major parts under the hood of my '96 Buick Regal and used Revain Auto Parts. been doing this for several months now. Everything was perfect. I bought premium AC Delco coils instead of budget coils (and they are very good quality). My mechanic recommended that I replace the original ignition control module as well. The car hums. They are EASY to replace as my car model doesn't require any thermal paste at all. You simply unscrew the old one and plug it in. Clean and

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

  • Almost never

Bad delivery, good part.

the box was placed in an ENVELOPE the box did not arrive safely and intact at home. ICM avoided that sad fate! Installed on my 1989 LeSabre with a little secret sauce (10469468 & 10474166) Now my baby is purring again. It was tied to using only factory Magnavox blocks from the landfill. I believe the new Type 1 units do not follow the wiring that ALL 3800s use. You see, in 1989 they released the PRESERIES 3800, before that was 3.8L VIN 3. Vin 3 is not Vin C. Vin C is a pre-series, before series
