This kit is designed for mid 90's Nissan forklifts. I first put the brushes in the armature, then put the cap on and tightened the brush set screws. This is a good set, no cuts.

Installed in an ARCO 30470 Marine Starter on a 350 Mercruiser where the brushes in the bracket overheated. I cleaned the insides and installed a new holder and brushes and it's better than ever!

Purchased to solve a Mazda B2600 sporadic start problem. If you have a little mechanical knowledge this is easy to install. Problem solved for a fraction of the cost of the starter. Five stars!

I have used these brushes on my 2001 Jeep Grand Cheorkees starter motor and my 2001 Nissan Xterra starter motor with equal success. They fit well and are secure and after 12,000 trouble free miles on my jeep I can say they are of good quality. The originals have driven 200,000 km, I hope the replacement will too.

I have a small 3 key diesel engine and it's really hard to start. I think he needs rings anyway and melted that crap plastic they have in those brush sets. There is a steel plate that the brushes go into and they don't melt. They are very well made, if anyone has the same problem you should buy this. I bought two sets thanks to the company that made them.

I installed this in the starter motor on my 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ. The starter had trouble turning the engine and I found the brushes were worn when I opened it up. This product replaces all four brushes and the holder and springs for those brushes. When rebuilding I suggest you first remove the brush springs, then put in the commutator (make sure you did it right), then put the springs back in (this part is a little tricky, I used needle nose pliers) and then screw the back plate on the brush…
