Not as easy to use as OEM

I had an oxygen sensor fault on my car and a possible cause was a loose gas cap. Removing the old cap wasn't easy, but putting on the new one was even more difficult. The description says "Original Equipment" but it is not OEM coverage. You have to press the cap down and then unscrew it before you fill up the car with gas - similar to a child's medicine container. Several times the new cap did not match the threads and I had to carefully align the threads to make it work. I wanted to return…

The 2001 GMC Jimmy fits right in! Not Gold Black

So my dad lost his 2001 Gmc Jimmy hat. I got sick so I ordered 1 day. He fit right in. Others should be aware that the plastic pin (so you don't lose it) doesn't fit my model. So I took out a pin and used the one he had on his hat. This tag thing has a hole it slipped through and bam worked. Of course you can buy a plastic pin if you don't have one. Also, it has nothing to do with the header. The lid fit so well that I found the original which I had lost. This is still saved. Make sure the gas…

Fixed EVAP code issue.

I received code P4055 Large EVAP leak in my car. On googling I found that it could be a gas cap and they could lose their seal as they age. Thought I'd try replacing that before doing a leak test, which would be more expensive. Worst case it doesn't work and I still have a check engine light and a new gas cap to get rid of this potential future problem down the road. It seems to have worked as my check engine light didn't come back on. I would appreciate a supplied manual for handling the cable

Prevents costly car fires!

This fuel cap prevents expensive petrol from spilling out of the tank when cornering at high speeds. Don't burst into flames like the others, buy this gas cap to keep the fuel where it belongs: in the pistons that power your car. The kit even comes with a small cable that needs to be attached somewhere. My Chevy van has nowhere to attach this small cable. So if you don't hold onto the gas cap after opening it, it will just fall to the ground and run down the gully. If there was a way to attach…

No more check engine light.

I have a 2000 S10 ZR2 and the Check Engine light has been on for several years. I've visited several stores and they all have different ideas of what it could be. But it was a list that could contain more than I was willing to pay for. I was willing to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. The truck would have worked fine, but then I happened to read a thread about how simply replacing the gas cap on this model can often fix the problem and assumed that with the codes we are…

Perfect replacement for the original gas cap on my 1998 Chevy Blazer LS!

I bought this ACDelco GT261 gas cap to replace my factory gas cap on my 1998 Chevy Blazer (LS - 4 Door). I've read that a faulty gas cap can cause some emission type errors which I read on my BAFX34t5 OBDII scan tool (bought from Revain here, see my review). Unfortunately, replacing the gas cap didn't clear the code, but it made me realize how bad my existing gas cap is and how bad this replacement gas cap is. This gas cap fitted my car perfectly and once again I was missing a lanyard…
