Description of Acxico Pixie DIY Shortwave Radio Kit - 7.023MHz 40M CW Receiver Transmitter with Buzzer LED Transceiver

This is a very small volume of simple 40 meter band micro-power amplitude telegraph transceiver, uses a 9~13.8V DC power supply. The resistor is a horizontal package, which solves the problem that the resistor is easily short-circuited. The power input does not distinguish between the positive and negative poles, and the power supply has a wide range of power supply. The user can conveniently use the 13.8V communication power supply, and there is no need to worry about the loss due to the reverse connection of the positive and negative poles. The buzzer has been added as a side tone alert (a jumper cap can be used to shield the sound) and an LED indicator light has been added. Acrylic shell, easy to assemble, beautiful and practical. Not only for item conforming, and can effectively shield nearby interference.

Study your components before attempting to build!

Not yet assembled but one page of assembly instructions is sketchy at best! You should at least have an understanding of electronic components before attempting this assembly.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • embarrassing

Not very good for home theater

There are no diagrams and ALL the caps do not match the markings on the board. hardly digestible. I repair cell phones and laptops and have had more problems with them than any device I have ever repaired. I'm sorry I bought this.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

No instructions, no diagram!

This kit comes with no diagram or instructions. I can't even print the chart from Revain.com. Terrible! I had to sit down at the computer and write down what value each component corresponds to. It took a while! The kit includes a 50 ohm 1 W resistor. It's not on the board or in the schematic. Anyone know where he's going? Is it just an add-on? Please let me know. All in all I am very disappointed!

Pros
  • Superb design
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Works very well for receivers and amplifiers

Works very well. There are no assembly instructions but the product photos have a diagram which is sufficient for assembly as it gives component designations with values you can take from the PCB so it's not too difficult. I was able to use this to troubleshoot my Forty 9 Series QRP board that I can't pick up on my SDR (because I'm too cheap to buy a boost converter). I have found that I can hear this kit loud and clear and my 40 9 is receiving on 7.023MHz so this kit is transmitting on…

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Functionality

Fun little kit and the finished product really works

Quick and easy assembly for anyone experienced in soldering components onto a PCB. This is a "superpixie" variant with a spot effect and a beautiful lucite body. When you're done, you can connect with the baby (on CW). reservations? It's not just a QRP; this is QRPp. Given the state of the solar cycle, making such low-power contacts is not easy. Yes, but you need a good antenna. In addition, the receiving part is of course a direct conversion receiver. Don't expect the audio to be loud…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
