Description of AFe Power 54 10052 Chevrolet Performance

Outflows the factory intake by up to 13%. Produces an additional 24 horsepower and 29 lbs. x ft. torque max gains. 5-Layer progressively finer oiled, washable cotton gauze media allows maximum airflow for maximum power. Heat-insulating molded plastic tube replaces the stock intake tract. Air filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane. This intake is 50-state legal for 1997-2004 models (CARB E.O Number D-550-3).

Not required for filter

The inlet pipe in this kit is too long for my C5 Corvette. I used the original intake pipe with a new filter. All you need for the C5 is an air filter and an Autozone hose connection.

Not bad for the price. - Performance parts and accessories

On my 2000 c5 I had to drill a hole for the air temp sensor. Don't worry, it's in the instructions. Installation was a bit problematic. But once you've got all the right parts in place, it's a good block. The vacuum hose seal (sleeve) must also be removed for proper installation.

Good product Good price

Seems like a very good buy. I installed it for about a month and it does exactly what it promises. I noticeably improved throttle response as expected. The bonus is that my fuel economy has also improved. This cold air intake was very easy to install, worked well and was a good price. Thumbs up!

The quality of the parts is ok, the fit is another story

The quality of the parts is ok, the fit is another story, The throttle body on my 1998 C5 is a 4.0 inch hose that comes with a free fitting kit and there the hose that goes to the MAF is 3.75" and the MAF hole is 3.5" which is too big. I had to make a piece of 3.5" hose to attach the MAF hose to ARE first. about that. The filter is too long and only gets air from 3 sides because it is too big. The breather hose connection on their filter is near the connection on the MAF, so you'll have to put…
