Makes strong connections

These are good quality electrical connectors. With the first crimp I had no problems with the secure connection. I used hand pliers instead of a ratchet. The connector stayed in place and crimped the wires smoothly. The plastic insulation deformed as it should, didn't crush or chip.

Cons

Good quality at a great price

The market is full of wired connectors and the cheaper they are the worse. That's not it. These aren't rock hard plastics that will break and fall apart, they flex well and keep their bell shape without looking crushed and battered. As long as they maintain this quality I will continue to buy them when needed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Reliable

They work best with terminals

I've used these closed end crimp connectors for 22 AWG and 18 AWG wire on several projects and they work great. If you need a watertight connection, fill the open area with RTV silicone after crimping. Faster than soldering, especially when used in tight spaces where the soldering iron is difficult to maneuver. Use a quality crimping tool for quality results with any crimp connector.

Pros
  • Some competitors
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Real copper crimp connectors

In a sea of aluminum connectors it was nice to find some that use copper. They are ideal for home appliance repairs or use in vehicles where fast and reliable connections are required. The somewhat transparent nylon sleeve provides full insertion confirmation and holds up well to crimping. I've used several plugs of each size and ended up finding great connections that stand up to rough handling. This is a must have in your solder/crimp box.

  • Nice packaging

Essential for Audio Installers

This product was exactly what I needed. I'm usually the type to solder wires, but for a quick install of an aftermarket head unit, they worked great. I was able to assemble my tourniquet in under 10 minutes and was on my way. They can be used for methods other than audio installation, but make crimping easier. Just note the caliber size when ordering. I used the smaller ones as the radio harness wires were 20ga and they worked perfectly. Each pack contains plenty and more than enough for…

Very happy and surprised to see a real tinned copper case.

Looks as advertised. The plastic/nylon is thick (as you would expect from a quality component) and the ferrule is actually tinned copper. I cut one off to inspect before using them. I was fully expecting to have to send them back because a lot of these sellers are trying to make it sound like aluminum is copper. This is exactly what the seller advertised. (AIRIC Brand, 200 pcs 22-16 AWG) Seller: AIRIC ELECTRICAL ACCESSORIES - UPC 192389014706 if this review hits the wrong part.

Pros
  • Wiring and connector
Cons
  • Poor instructions

UL certified or not?

I order Airic crimp caps in all three sizes because they are UL listed and have a reference of UL486. I should have been suspicious as it didn't say UL486A/B or UL486C. There is no UL486 standard without a suffix. I received a 12-10AWG package, but the 22-16AWG and 16-14AWG packages were lost on delivery. I went back to see if I could change my order to smaller sizes. The Revain page only says "CE certified" which is a self-declared conformity. There is a UL logo on the bag, but it doesn't look

Pros
  • End cap
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
