It's very pretty but too small

Super pretty but I wish they would make a bigger version. 12 ounces is the maximum capacity, and it's too small for coffee lovers like me. I like to buy coffee in £2 bags (which is the norm for most avid drinkers), so here I am with a full canister and a partially empty coffee bag. Sad.

Returned and bought normal

, we had several metal air vents, we didn't bother with this one at all and returned it to buy 2 more metal ones. The lid that presses on the container wobbles a lot and the wooden top was difficult to remove as it was flush. We prefer metal containers for storing coffee beans. The ceramic is of good quality, the colors are good, the wooden lid is also nice. I just didn't like its action compared to other metals we've had. We have 4 large metal containers for 1 pound whole bean coffee.

The oil layer remains on the coffee beans!

I've been using this for a few months now and it's working great! I traded my wife for coffee years ago, so I'm just as much a coffee drinker as you are. Anyone who loves coffee knows that keeping it fresh is very difficult. The proof of this canister is that if I use a pound or more, the oily residue will remain on my coffee beans. Coffee oils are very volatile, so in addition to the taste, it is also a testament to the shelf life of coffee beans. A little tip if you're buying: Don't try to…

Trash, buy metal.

I bought the metal first and I really liked it. I use it to store whole coffee. I then bought two of these ceramics because they looked really cool and I thought they would be a good buy after my experience with the first one. they are garbage. The outer lids are uneven and the wood on both is scratched. The plunger / inner cap does not create any tightness inside at all, when pressed or removed it does not stay. With metal, I have to keep the plunger/inner cap relatively horizontal to the…

Does not fit in a standard 12 ounce bag of ground coffee

Great idea but lacks the practicality. Let's say a company believes ground coffee stays fresher in an airtight container than it does in regular 12-ounce coffee bags. , then why doesn't it fit in the whole bag? The canister should be about 1/2 inch taller to accommodate the inner lid when pouring the entire 12-ounce bag. Then if you want the outer cap to fit as well, add another inch. So 1-1/2 inches higher would make it workable for a typical bag of ground coffee. Now for the outer shell. It…

Great product - look out for this feature

I bought a medium sized 7" cobalt blue block. This is by far the most beautiful piece of ceramic craftsmanship I have ever seen. Extremely consistent size, inside and out. Unsurpassed smoothness of all surfaces. The glazing is immaculate and, well, like glass. The logo is only on one side, so you can rotate the canister to view the clean side if you prefer. I used it to store whole coffee beans. The inner lid works as intended. After squeezing and flipping the valve to close, it minimizes the…

Excellent canister - labeling problem solved

Keeps beans fresh. I've been using it daily for six weeks and haven't found anything to complain about except that it's an oversized 12 ounce bag of beans and a (very minor!) complaint about the lack of an easy labeling solution (labels missing to me ). the roaster usually puts on his bags!). Most bean roasters seem to sell in 12 ounce bags and as far as I can tell the smaller size is too small for that. I have the size that says "Large" and it's about half full with a full 12 ounce beans (it's

as tight as possible. I've been using them for a long time. They work great. This pottery is not. First off, the stainless steel inner lid squeezes tight when the air is expelled and stays tight as you twist the handle down to close the lid. It takes a lot of force to push through and break the seal once you turn the handle down, although you shouldn't. This means it is well sealed. The outer lid has a strong gasket that also creates a very good seal and the outer rim extends beyond the rim of…
