🔥 Airtex CV8000 Fuel Flow Check Valve for Enhanced Performance with E8120 Review

Had to use teflon tape to get a good seal with fittings but worked great once sealed. Vehicle operating pressure is 55 to 60 psi.

I installed it on a test aircraft feeding gas to a Jabiru 3300 engine. I installed two valves with two fuel pumps in parallel for redundancy. So far no problems after a flight of about 4 hours.

I run 3 separate tanks with their universal electric fuel pumps in a line leading to the engine driven mechanical fuel pump. They have mastered the back pressure without any problems. Very low forward resistance. You can only open them with your breath.

I used them on my boat. I have multiple fuel tanks and having one on each of the three tanks makes it a lot easier to start a boat after it has sat for a few weeks or a month. Standard threads make it easy to find the right fitting.

I used this check valve on a 1995 Acura TL. The fuel pump housing located "in the tank" came loose causing a drop in fuel pressure and making the vehicle difficult to start. I bought some barb fittings from Ace Hardware and solved my fuel pressure drop problem with this valve. Has been working great for over 6 months now. Good product

This check valve has a fairly high set pressure. Fits in a pressure system with a fuel pump but will not work with a gravity feed system. Also, it is cut for union nut threads, not the recommended NPT fittings. Do not buy fittings, you can find matching fittings at an auto parts store.

It's ok, I use it as a "check valve" for any old carburettor on an old car. If I leave the car for more than a few days, the gas will still flow past it. I put it between the fuel pump and a clean filter. After about a week, the filter is empty again. Oh, and I thought it came with 3/8 fittings, but they were 3/8 and 1/4 threaded nipples. I had to buy new fittings to install it.
